At Portside, we are developing an operating system for business aviation: a set of integrated solutions addressing major industry pain points. Our platform supports operators of business jet, helicopter, medevac, and government fleets, as well as fractional jet ownership programs, charter brokers, and others in the business aviation industry. Founded by serial tech and aviation industry entrepreneurs in 2018 in San Francisco, California, the company has grown rapidly and we are currently supporting customers in 25+ countries around the world. We are a 40+ person globally distributed team (Europe, Asia, and North America), with plans to double over the next 12 months. To support our growth, we recently closed a $17 million Series A financing round led by Tiger Global, with participation by other prominent investors.

We are looking for a Jr. Product Manager / Business Analyst to work side-by-side with a Senior Product Manager on one of our core products — Portside Owner Portal — which is a platform used by private jet operators to share operational and financial data with aircraft owners. This is a fully remote position, but you must be able to meet in person in Kiev for initial onboarding and periodic in-person meetings.

What you will do:

  • Continuously study the product and become familiar with all of its functions and business logic.
  • Become an in-house expert for the Owner Portal and the go-to person for all functionality-related questions.
  • Organize, investigate and analyze incoming new feature and improvement requests. Translate complex internal and client requirements into clearly-written user stories and tasks in JIRA.
  • Define & refine acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate and support product backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Investigate root causes of various issues, look for improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of post-college experience in a problem-solving (not necessarily technical) role, with progressive responsibility.
  • Tech savvy.
  • Based in Kiev.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Written English (sufficient to write tickets and documentation).

What we offer:

  • Interesting and challenging work in a fast-growing product company.
  • Exciting projects involving the newest technologies.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Excellent compensation package, including participation in the company’s stock option plan.
  • Holidays, 20 working days of vacation, and paid sick days.
  • Personal laptop (MacBook Pro).
