We are looking for a Tool Programmer to join our new game currently in production — “Century: Age of Ashes”. This Dark Fantasy epic multiplayer title will be released on PC, Next Gen Consoles as well as current consoles.
You will work closely with the whole team involved in the creative work: game designers, 2D and 3D artists, animators from the conception to the launch of the game, and further during its live ops phase. Your role will be to design, implement, enhance and ensure the proper functioning of tools that will complete the engine possibilities and help improve the efficiency of the production team.
Your mission will be to:
— Compile and understand development needs and estimate their feasibility to enhance the production pipeline;
— Analyze existing features in the engine and available tools, and implement new features or improvements where necessary;
— Support the features and systems designed for production: production workflows, plugins for third-party applications (3DSMax, Maya, source control, etc.) and productivity tools (compilation, build process, etc.);
— Analyze and correct the tools bugs;
— Document the work to transfer knowledge and enable users (production) to understand how to use the systems and features.
— Minimum 3 years of experience in 3D game development (PC and/or consoles);
— Past experience in programming tools;
— Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 4;
— Good knowledge of programming language, C++, Blueprint;
— Good knowledge of standards development environments and tools (Visual Studio, versioning, bug base);
— Good communication skills and ability to work as a team;
— Passion for videogames and capacity to improve production pipeline;
— Good knowledge of maths and algorithms applied to videogames production (Edit, filter or generate data, storage, optimisation, etc.).
Extra skills that would be appreciated:
— Experience with Multiplayer games;
— Good knowledge of multithreading;
— Experience with technical constraints linked to consoles;
— Experience with rendering pipeline;
— Experience with tuning tools on PC & consoles;
— Good spoken English;
— Experience in a field such as animation, mesh transform and filter, etc.
