Playtika’s Marketing Technologies Department is looking for the next Data Engineer Developer to join us!
This role will develop automated data pipes using SQL, Java and Python, doing unit testing to ensure deliverables meet acceptable quality metrics, as well as proactively identifying and managing data risk and ensuring those risks are understood.
This role will partner closely with the business teams to understand the data-needs of the team and ensure that the business teams are able to answer hard questions with real data. This individual will participate in business reviews and new-initiatives. This individual will be part of a scrum team, implementing the business backlog using agile methodology.
— 2+ years professional experience building data pipelines, ETL jobs, and using complex SQL/scripting languages (Java is a must; would be a plus experience with Python or Scala)
— Experience with one or more relational and mpp databases — Postgresql, Mysql, SQL-Server, Oracle, Vertica, Redshift, Snowflake
— Experience with at least one of distributed computation engines for running SQL based processes and queries — (Spark or analogues: Presto, Impala, Hive(on mr/tez/spark) etc
— Experience with at least one of distributed storage file systems — HDFS, S3, Ceph, Azure BLOB, GS Buckets etc
— Experience with one or more process orchestrators (Airflow or analogues — Luigi, Azkaban etc)
— Strong problem solving and business orientation
Nice to have:
— Excellent working experience optimizing complex ETL Processes — (processes optimization, understanding spark dags/execution plans)
— Experience with one of data lake built supporting tools — Hudi, Delta Lake, Iceberg
— Experience with Apache Ecosystem Data Processing Solutions (Like apache Beam, Pulsar, Flink)
— Coding experience
— Experience in the Online Marketing industry
— Relevant Bachelor degree — preferably Computer Science / Industrial Engineering/ Information Systems

You should feel comfortable working across multiple data sources, and be capable of participating in and understanding how multiple systems communicate information to one another, be flexible to work with changing requirements.
