• 4+ years of experience in hands-on software development/engineering
• 2+ year of acting as leader in a small team
• Strong knowledge of Ruby, Ruby on Rails 4+
• Strong knowledge in Python
• Good understanding of MVC, HTML5, and CSS3
• Practical understanding of the HTTP protocol (RESTful interfaces)
• Good understanding of SQL
• Experience in test automation (Understanding TDD and BDD)
• Good command of English

Quickspin, a Playtech company, is expanding its product portfolio with a newly acquired games platform. This platform will be used to service all our major customers.

We are now looking for a talented Technical Team lead to join our new Integrations and Backoffice team. This small team will, once operational, be responsible for maintaining and building new features in our Back-office system and to build and manage new high-performance integrations towards our long list of customers. The Back-office system is used for reporting, configurating and monitoring the gaming operation, is the hub for the whole operations and is used both by customers and internal users. The team will be given responsibility to create new features and functionalities, with high quality both in terms of reliability and but also to make sure that they are long term maintainable.

The Backoffice system is currently built in Ruby on Rails and MariaDB but the new team will decide on the technology choices for the future and be responsible for the upgrade plans. The team will also be in charge of continuously refactor and rebuild older areas of the system in-line with the team’s long-term plans to remove technical debt and create a system that long term can support the business.

The integration layer towards b2b customers is built in Phyton and will be managed and developed together with other teams within Quickspin in order to provide new functionality and extremely high performance
