Playtech‘s Security unit is looking for a proactive Junior Cloud Security Engineer with excellent communication skills.
Your influential mission. You will...
- Maintain cloud security governance and monitoring solutions
- Collaborate with business owners, product managers, DevOps, IT operations teams, and development teams, providing expertise in the Cloud Security domain
- Conduct security reviews of cloud environments
- Identify weak spots, missing controls, and vulnerabilities while suggesting improvements and remediations
- Develop documentation listing security recommendations and best practices
- Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls for the cloud
- Participate in investigation and response in case of potential security incidents
- Develop automation in the security field if required
Components for success. You...
- Have experience in a similar technical security role with a background in application or system administration
- Have experience with Microsoft Azure cloud, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
- Understand how cloud infrastructure works, architecture best practices, managed services, typical vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security best practices
- Can clearly and promptly communicate and negotiate on security technical topics in an argumentative way
- Possess a security mindset with business enablement strategy thinking
- Are familiar with modern application development approaches (infrastructure as code, continuous integration/delivery, containers, serverless, code/artifact repositories, etc). Some hands-on experience with such tools is a plus
- Have broad knowledge in the IT field and enterprise architecture (TCP/IP network stack and relevant protocols/technologies (firewall, proxy, etc); some experience with server OS (Windows, Linux); web, database servers, etc.)
- Have basic scripting experience (Python/shell) for automating daily tasks
- Possess good English communication skills (both speaking and writing)
- Have experience working in an enterprise environment
- Hold relevant security, systems, and networking certifications (a plus
