Playtech’s GPAS unit is looking for a talented and dedicated DevOps to become a part of Playtech as a new member of the GPAS product team.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...

• Manage configuration and deployments for applications
• Create CI/CD pipelines
• Improve configuration management roles, playbooks, and charts
• Debug and troubleshoot configuration related issues
• Configure monitoring dashboards and alerts for services

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

• Understand the principles of IT systems and system architecture.
• Have 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability engineering
• Have strong Linux and Networking skill set
• Have experience with Docker containers and orchestration solutions (Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Nomad)
• Have solid experience in config management and IaC (Ansible, Helm, Terraform)
• Have knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools and processes: Git, Jenkins pipelines, Artifactory
• Have programming skills in Python/Bash
• Have Intermediate English

You’ll get extra points for...

• Couchbase, MongoDB or another NoSQL database • Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics
• Experience with cloud providers: AWS
• F5, nginx, and AWS load balancers
• Istio service mesh and Calico CNI

GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Unit

Playtech’s exclusive distributed games delivery platform, hosts 700+ games. It’s a scalable, event-driven system written in Scala using the Pekko (formerly Akka) framework. Our storage setup includes Couchbase (hot storage) and AWS S3/DynamoDB (cold storage), enabling us to handle nearly a billion transactions daily. Our architecture supports various game types, and we follow Scrum methodology for timely feature delivery.
