Required skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in game development as a Technical Artist
  • Expertise in 3D math fundamentals
  • Solid understanding of 3D math
  • Using the Unreal Engine on the expert level
  • Confident use of Unreal Profiling Tools
  • Intimate knowledge of Maya/3DS Max and computer graphics
  • Experience with HLSL, GLSL, or similar shader languages
  • Good understanding of algorithm design and of their complexity
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and extensible code with attention to reusability
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design
  • Enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Able and motivated to work with other team members


  • Research, define, improve, and maintain artist pipelines, tools, and workflows
  • Interface with stakeholders. Liaise between team members; drive collaborative projects
  • Troubleshoot issues; resolve them: invent or build robust, quality technical implementations
  • Participate in art asset reviews to help identify technical concerns or risks
  • Partner with leads and directors to meet visual and technical standards
  • Mentor and guide in areas of Art, VFX, and/or Lighting team members in areas of expertise; instill best practices

As a plus

  • Industry experience working or shipping AAA titles
  • Scripting/programming experience with С++, Python, PyQT/PySide
  • Experience in designing or creating world-building toolsets
  • Experience in using the frame debuggers, such as RenderDoc, etc.
  • Expert ability in 3D modeling DCCs such as Maya or equivalent
