The company’s team is working on creating a trading platform with innovative solutions that solve specific problems and satisfy certain customer needs. Company is also engaged in research and development of new technological solutions. Our head office is located in sunny, sometimes scorchy Larnaca, Cyprus. Vacancy requires relocation to Larnaca, Cyprus.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, encompassing network architecture, system administration, DevOps practices, and site reliability engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience in managing and implementing complex infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, and cloud solutions.
• Expertise in networking principles, security, and protocols.
• Strong familiarity with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Excellent understanding of continuous integration/delivery/deployment concepts.
• Solid experience in managing databases, message brokers, and other critical infrastructure components.
• Ability to lead incident response, postmortems, and reliability testing.
• Proven experience in risk management and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting attitude.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and related services.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp tools (Consul, Nomad, Vault, etc.);
• Ukrainian as a native;
• English B2;
• Willingness to move to Larnaca, Cyprus.

You will deal with and be responsible for:

• Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, including network architecture, system administration, DevOps, and site reliability engineering.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the efficient operation and optimization of infrastructure resources.
• Collaborate with various teams, including Development, Operations, DevOps, PO, and QA, to align infrastructure practices with business goals.
• Manage and lead cross-functional teams of System Administrators, Network Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers.
• Drive the implementation and improvement of infrastructure projects, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Lead incident response, postmortems, and reliability testing to enhance overall system performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure components and processes.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes at the executive level.
• Collaborate with executive management to provide insights and recommendations related to IT infrastructure.
• Oversee risk management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Participate in the hiring process, including conducting interviews for key positions within the infrastructure teams.
• Take ownership of critical infrastructure-related initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
• Connect infrastructure to other departments within the organization.

What skills must have сandidate

• Advanced experience with both self-hosted and cloud solutions
• Expertise in Docker deployment and orchestration
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Expert understanding of Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment concepts
• In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals (switching, routing, load balancing, name resolution, etc.)
• Expertise with logging and monitoring systems
• Expertise with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Exceptional technical experience in Linux and shell scripting
• Expertise in Nomad, Serverless solutions
• Expertise in Terraform, Ansible
• Expertise in GitLab
• Expertise in Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
• Expertise in RabbitMQ, Redis
• Expertise in Vault, Consul
• Ukrainian (fluent)
• English (Fluent)

Would be a plus:

• Experience as a Software Engineer (C++ or C#).
• Familiarity with Fortigate and Mikrotik network devices.
• Previous exposure to the administration of trading platforms (MetaTrader, NetTrader, CQG).
• Proven success in strategic planning and decision-making related to IT infrastructure.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
• Capability to align infrastructure practices with overall business goals and objectives.
• Ability to work closely with executive management and provide strategic insights.
• Adept at fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Willingness to take ownership of critical infrastructure-related initiatives.
