Hardware Platform Lead

We’re looking for a strong Hardware Platform Lead to take technical ownership of Petcube’s device platform.

This role involves owning the core hardware and firmware foundation of our products: keeping existing camera devices stable and reliable while gradually building and scaling a new tracker product.

You’ll own the long-term evolution of the hardware platform across multiple product generations, balancing short-term delivery with long-term system quality.

What You’ll Do

• Own the hardware and firmware platform across Petcube devices
• Maintain and improve existing Linux-based camera products
• Make key architectural and technical decisions
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform quality
• Support engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring
• Communicate technical risks and trade-offs clearly to product and management

What We’re Looking For

• Experience launching hardware products from prototype to mass production
• Experience working with multiple generations of hardware devices
• Strong system-thinking mindset
• Hands-on engineering background with the ability to lead technically
• Startup or early-stage product experience
• Willingness to take real end-to-end ownership

Tech Stack: C++, BLE microcontrollers (Nordic or similar), Zephyr RTOS / FreeRTOS, Low-power design; GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi, IMU; Embedded Linux; Video streaming and networking.
