Who We Are Looking For: Fractional / Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are currently seeking a Fractional / Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in SaaS metrics and financial best practices. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in reviewing and enhancing our multi-entity accounting, reporting processes, and financial models, as well as implementing automation and improvements in our consolidated reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS metrics, financial modelling, and process automation.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
Main areas to focus at the beginning:
1. Review of Accounting and Reporting Processes:

  • Conduct a thorough review of current multi-entity accounting, software and reporting processes.
  • Provide advice on internal blockers or questions and suggest improvements.
    2. Implementation of Automation:
  • Identify areas in the financial processes that are not fully automated.
  • Implement automation solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    3. Consolidated Reporting:
  • Review and enhance consolidated reporting mechanisms.
  • Implement improvements to ensure clear, comprehensive, and timely reporting.
    4. Financial Model Review and Enhancement:
  • Conduct a detailed review of the existing financial model.
  • Implement improvements to ensure the model accurately reflects business realities and informs strategic decisions.
    5. Cash Flow Projections and Forecasting:
  • Develop and set up automated cash flow projections and forecasts.
    6. Strategic Financial Guidance:
  • Provide strategic financial insights and guidance, especially in relation to SaaS industry standards and metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategy with overall business goals.
