Industry:
Ukraine is the best place for IT product development, it’s a well known fact. Multiple international FinTech companies have their IT offices in Ukraine.
The FinTech industry is very competitive. If you don’t deliver the product update in Q1, in Q2 you don’t need it — client chooses another vendor, who offers better service. There are so many companies fighting for the leadership here, that you have no chance for mistake — you’ll lose this race and close the company.
FinTech handles real money transactions. Can you imagine your reaction, if your bank app doesn’t work correctly when you need to withdraw your money? It’s very difficult to restore credibility after such cases.

Paymentop:
Our company develops different FinTech products. Every product grows faster than competitors, despite they develop only one solution, and we do few at the same time. We are a rocket growing company and we double our office space every year. Clients love our products and recommend us to friends. We receive bigger partnerships every 6 month, and we are proud that famous brands recognise us. Of course we can’t make it without our talented Team! Amazing people work together to disrupt the FinTech industry. I can’t imagine how FinTech will look in 10 years, but I’m sure that Paymentop will provide multiple innovations and set up very high standards. We already do it.
We can’t create a perfect solution from scratch, nobody can actually do it. We collect clients’ feedback and upgrade the system. We use our expertise to experiment and check if it was successful. We have Big Data that we analyze and predict new trends. It’s a great feeling to see our products across the web, to meet old friends or new people who are familiar with our products, because they use one of them. I hope working experience in Paymentop will become a sign of quality if our colleagues decide to change a company or create their own startup, because our Team is very strong and profesional. Every closed task moves Paymentop forward, every working hour defines the future of the FinTech industry.

My experience:
I work in a company for 3+ years. It sounds cool to be a rocket growing company, to make innovations. In practice it’s a usual working day when you work hard. Despite Hollywood and business courses selling us "work one hour on the sea shore to become Google’’ you can actually make it when you are already Google (but not too long, or competitors will replace you). But results, when I see that after my work clients number and satisfaction grows — I start being addicted to success and want to do more. When I monitor competitors and notice that our company was the first who used a new approach and hit the trend (of course with time competitors copy our ideas) — I feel a bit angry that copies appear. After I understand that our Team created it, it means we have our unique approach and deep expertise to make the next innovation, and enthusiasm appears to be that person who will suggest the next trend. Innovative ideas don’t appear from nowhere, there are people who create them. With Paymentop I’m sure that my footprint stays in history.
I’m surprised to notice that I’m changing as a person. I grow alongside a company. New responsibilities help me to improve personal skills I never paid attention to. It becomes more intense when I’m responsible not only for personal results, but for every member in my Team. I like that I don’t need other people’s opinion to understand the quality of my work, I can track numbers and metrics to see my practical impact.

For potential candidates:
When we hire people, of course we must build a picture about your previous experience and understand what position will work for you, so we pay attention to previous positions, companies, and practical skills. But when you start working in a company we pay attention only to your results with us. “Do you know who I am and where I worked before” doesn’t matter, we don’t need a beautiful CV in our collection and your achievements from the past, we need your expertise and practical results you deliver with us. With every new wave of customers we have more working hours to handle, we are looking for a colleague who can stand with us, work with us, fight with us for our place in the FinTech market. We will be glad to receive new ideas from you and test them in practice, maybe you are our missing puzzle that will push all products to new innovation. We are glad to hear your advice and opinion when we discuss a new feature.

Every department Lead is a professional who can replace his or her team member and do any work this department is responsible for. We are people, we have Netflix, Youtube, friends and families to spend our free time more productive than studying all aspects of work. But we had bad cases that forced us to use this approach to prevent failures in future. Please don’t try to hide your procrastination under fictitious reports, we’ll find it and do your piece of work better and faster, but without your help. When you perform well, know more than your Lead, have Manager’s skills and are ambitious, it’s in our highest interest to promote you and continue scaling new Team.

Please don’t be offended if we cancel your application, maybe we will open a new position in the future that will work for you, or maybe you will have stronger skills in 6 month.
