As the Director of Sales, Opera Mobile Store, you will develop and execute the strategy for advertising sales revenues stemming from applications developers in all Opera markets around the globe.
You will be an expert in mobile advertising and mobile application marketing, building senior relationships with clients and educating the market on the benefits of mobile applications promotions in Opera Mobile Store. You will also be a call centre expert with a great track record of managing telesales teams to exceptional results.
You will leverage your deep knowledge of the advertising sector, as well as your personal connections from within the advertising and applications industry to grow client investment in mobile media from the customer-acquisition perspective.
— Educate the advertising industry and evangelize about Opera Mobile Store, particularly at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities.
— Build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients, direct advertisers.
— Meet and exceed global advertising revenue targets worldwide through setting and meeting performance targets for activity, efficiency, sales and quality. This will include recording statistics, user rates and the performance levels of the centre and preparing reports through the sales CRM. Forecasting and analysing data against budget figures on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
— Organising staffing, including shift patterns and the number of staff required to meet demand.
— Develop and manage the sales/account strategies that will fully unlock the Opera’s international goals, including monitoring random calls to improve quality, minimise errors and track operative performance.
— Influence Opera Mobile Store product development, by building internal relationships to deliver advertising solutions that put the store in a leadership position.
— Manage partner companies selling across Opera platforms.
— The position will also require some travel.
— Must be a fluent English speaker (written& spoken) who communicates to a high professional standard.
— Must be a natural closer who manages rejection well.
— Should overcome objections with skill, be trainable and capable of training others, be organized and able to generate great leads.
— Must be a good listener.
— Digital ad sales experience is a must (mobile a major plus).
— Call Centre Team Management experience is a must.
— Must have a minimum of 3 years industry experience and be used to working in a small team, beating the competition and exceeding targets.
— Need the ability to work in a matrixed organization: reporting to both the Vice-President Opera Mobile — Store and Head of Global Performance Sales, is required.
