OpenTag is a new (well-funded) International company within the field of Sports Betting and Gaming.

What will you do? What tech do we use?

You will become part of a well-functioning Scrum Team.

Your focus will be a microservice-based betting platform, created with Apache Thrift, Kafka, GraphQL, Java, Go, PHP, TypeScript, React.

We have several Payment team that is divided to Epay and Payment Integrations, using Symfony5, Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, DDD, Behat, Microservices, K8s, in day-to-day activities. You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team together with Front-end Developers, QAs, PO and Technical PM.

We are a match with you if you have

• 1+ Year in PHP development with Symfony framework
• Doctrine ORM
• Deep understanding of OOP (Solid, Grasp, DDD)
• Habits in writing unit/integration tests
• Hands-on experience with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and noSQL (Redis) DBs
• Hands-on experience with AMQP/Kafka protocols
• Troubleshooting using Sentry, Jaeger, Kibana dashboards
• Containers experience (Docker or K8s)- advantage
• Proper experience with GIT flows
• Scrum workflow experience
• Upper-Intermediate English

For us it will be an advantage (still not obligatory) if you have an experience with Microservices in SOA, Hands-on experience with gRPC/Apache Thrift, Containers experience (Docker or K8s)

As a PHP Developer, your impact will be as follows:

• Extend business logic in Payment Service
• Collaborating with our R&D leads the requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
• Verify and validate code quality through code reviews and workshops

The process includes HR Interview (30 min), Technical interview (1 hour), Practical home assignment (if the candidate agrees), 2nd Interview with PM (30 min), Offer, Onboarding Plan.

On your first day you will be met by the HR Manager, who will introduce you to the company and conduct a tour of the office and answer all questions. Everything you need will be waiting for you (laptop, workplace, beginner’s package). You will have the opportunity to meet colleagues during lunch or coffee break. We will do everything necessary to make you feel comfortable and will support you during and after the adaptation period.

For the period of adaptation, you will talk and agree with your manager on the goals of the probationary period and get contacts from all colleagues who are ready to help you and answer all questions. During 1:1 meetings, you can give feedback, share thoughts and ideas. Your manager will also determine the course of your immersion in the project and make every effort to make you feel comfortable.

Do your job, if you want help — come and ask for it. No one is going to track your time or check you every 30 minutes to see how it’s going.

You don’t want to come to the office — that’s okay. You can work from your villa, from the seaside or from a cafe — we don’t care as long as you deliver what is promised. You want to come to the office — that’s okay too. The office is always open and we will be happy to have lunch together or a beer after work.

Compensation & Vacation policy

You are entitled to receive 20 business days of vacation (for official employees in Bulgaria it is 25 calendar days) with additional days-off on your birthday and work anniversaries, 10 sick-leave days, and official Public Holidays days off.

The salary is paid in euro to your PE bank account and we have full tax support if needed.
