We are looking for an exceptional QA Architect with automation experience, with skills in Agile Development and Testing, to join one of our engineering team in a rapid development environment creating bespoke and customized automated testing solutions across highly complex, high transactional Sportsbook systems.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic

1. Define, communicate and own the overall QA Strategy for the Product Pillar, including process, approach and tooling.

2. Define and shape the standards, practices and methodologies for test coverage levels, quality metrics, and visibility mechanisms to ensure QA effectiveness, efficiency, progress, and overall product quality. Be the ultimate decision maker for any choices relating to general quality process and test tooling.

3. Consistently seek ways to enhance efficiency by exploring more cost-effective working methods and technology choices.

4. Promote reusability and innovation within solutions, maximising the potential for reuse.

5. Facilitate, support and guide the Development function to help ensure the implementation of QA practices and automation coverage is fully adhered to.

6. Together with a small number of peers across Engineering, align on quality strategy, practices, process, document/report format standardisation and tooling. Align and prepare proposals for any material changes to QA across pillar / company.

7. Identify and propose initiatives/projects as to how to achieve Test Automation maturity for individual functional areas. Lead and govern the implementation of such projects, in consultation with Engineering Management.

Team And People

1. Directly line management a team of senior QA Automation engineering specialists, whose objective is to set and maintain the overall direction of QA Automation within the Product Vertical and implement key automation initiatives.

2. Direct recruitment of QA team members and collaborating with engineering management in the recruitment of Development Team QA positions.

3. Provide QA coaching and guidance to Development Teams/Management where required.

4. Contribute and encourage the continuous learning and development of QA staff through courses, certifications, and industry events; liaising and collaborating with L&D team as necessary.

5. Whilst not a direct or indirect line manager for other QA roles within the development teams, this role will be empowered via close collaboration and alignment with the Engineering Director. The role is a key part of the Engineering Leadership team for the Vertical.

Quality Culture

1. Be a champion and an evangelist for Quality in the Product Vertical and across Product Engineering, sharing learnings and insights. 2. Establish and operate a ‘chartered guild’ within the Product Vertical, whose members include but are not limited to all QA roles. The guild’s charter is to align on Quality practices and Test Tooling across the organization and provide an active community on all quality aspects related to the SDLC.

3. Continuously refine and improve QA processes, encouraging constant evolution and never settling for the status quo.

4. Innovate by staying up to date with industry trends, experimenting with new technologies, and identifying opportunities to enhance strategy and vision.

Delivery And Operations

1. Seek to ensure quality first Engineering delivering comprehensive automation throughout the entire SDLC.

2. Oversee the delivery of QA Test plans for multiple products and releases, ensuring alignment with company directives and strategic milestones.

3. Create and maintain accurate test documentation, including plans, completion and progress reports and proofs of concept.

4. Ensure timely execution of test plans and meet release deadlines.

5. Track QA activities, test results, defect leakage, root cause analysis, and areas for improvement, implementing necessary process enhancements.

6. Monitor and evaluate metrics and KPIs to enhance quality across the SDLC and customer experience. Support the Feature Teams to strive for excellence in their commitments.

Engagement

1. Where applicable, represent OpenBet and the Product Vertical for QA with the customer, third parties and Regulatory Test Houses (e.g. GLI) and where the circumstances require it, harmonise and optimise the end-to-end test process to align.

2. Act as the escalation point for complex issues and manage stakeholder Quality/Test expectations.
