In April 2024, I had the privilege of going through several stages of tests and interviews for a Middle/Senior Project Manager role at Omilia, and I’d like to share my experience and feedback regarding the hiring process. From my perspective, the evaluation process can be challenging, for junior or even for mid-level professionals, as it includes:

1. English language test.
As far as I remember, the test primarily focused on B2-C2 levels, reminiscent of the IELTS format.

2. Practical tasks related to project management.
My tasks included a case study with relevant open questions, project plan preparation, and a communication/reporting practical exercise.

3. Interview with a recruiter.
Mine was led by Olha Lutsyv and was easy-going, friendly, and positive. Thanks, Olha!

4. Technical interview with Senior Project Managers.
Three (!) PMP-certified Senior Project Managers joined me on the video call. During the hour-long interview, we discussed my Project Management experience, my previous practical tasks, and they asked various situational questions. The spirit of professionalism was palpable, and I was satisfied with the communication and overall atmosphere.

5. Final technical interview with the Head of PMO.
This stage is supposed to be the last step before receiving an offer.

As you can see, the hiring process is lengthy and time-consuming. Therefore, once you start the ball rolling, be prepared to reserve ample time and demonstrate diligence. Despite the challenges, it’s a great experience with many lessons learned, and it’s really worth it!

Unfortunately, my journey was interrupted after the fourth stage, leaving me disappointed due to the lack of feedback. Just silence...

I read on the company feedback page on DOU that I am not alone in this experience; others have also been left without feedback. It seems there might be some breakdown in the communication chain during this long-long process. I hope it will be fixed someday...
