Tech Lead
We are looking for an experienced python developer. You should be comfortable with systems design and the full cycle of software development. You will be given a problem, and asked to fix it, not a finished specification and asked to program it. You will have full ownership off all our integration towards other systems. Experience with services running in the cloud would be a big advantage. You will be expected to test and deploy your own code. You will be in charge of mentoring two more junior team members.
Software Developer
We are looking for python developers, or someone that is a great programmer in another programming language and wants to learn python. You need to be comfortable with working in a devops setup, where you are expected to both test and deploy your own code.
You will have at least a bachelor in degree in computer science or a similar area. The job is in Odessa. You need to be comfortable working in English, since this is our working language.

You love to solve real problems. You see the beauty in elegant, simple solutions. You are analytically strong, and will ask for help if you are stuck. You are not a one-man show, but excited to be part of a team.

You would be motivated by knowing that a lot of people depend on your product to find their way. Our software engineers follow feature development end to end, so it would be an advantage if you care about the product and our customers. New programming languages can easily be picked up, programming cannot. Hence, we expect you to be a good programmer in at least one programming language, but we don’t need it to be overlapping with any of the programming languages we use.

What will you get?
Our development team both deliver the map functionality used by our customers and internal tools used to prepare the maps for publishing. Our goal is to fully automate the process of generating the maps from architectural drawings. We apply techniques from AI to achieve this.

Our development team consists of highly skilled software engineers with front end and/or backend experience. The majority of our code is written in Python and JavaScript and it lives in the cloud. We do continuous integration, we use Git and do code review. Our team is still small and our ambitions large, so we expect everyone to pitch in where it is needed.

About MazeMap
Operating in Ukraine under Norse Umbrella — MazeMap (www.mazemap.com) is market leading in delivering indoor maps and navigation to Universities. We also deliver indoor maps to hospitals and office buildings. Our maps are built on web technologies and work cross-platform without the need for a native app. We are a five year old startup, with a proven product. It is now time to increase our speed on new development. We need a larger team to achieve this.
Our New Team in Odessa
Currently, we have one development team in Trondheim, Norway. We also have a slit customer success team, that partly are sitting in Trondheimand partly sitting in Odessa. We have been very happy both with our team in Odessa and how Trondheim and Odessa have been working together. We now want to establish a small development team in Odessa as well. This team will be in charge of all necessary integrations between the MazeMap platforms and other ecosystems. Examples are: TimeEdit, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Workplace Occupancy. Initially it will be a three person tech team
