We create, maintain, and continuously improve software products, the convenience of which has already been appreciated by 32 million private and business clients of Nova Poshta. As we expand our team, we are currently looking for a “Security Engineer”

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for the protection of sensitive information.
• Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to enhance the overall security posture.
• Develop and implement incident response plans to address security incidents promptly and effectively.
• Investigate security incidents.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional terms to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Implement and manage security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security events in real-time.
• Analyze security logs and reports to identify and mitigate security threats.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with external partners and vendors to ensure third-party security compliance.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare for and participate in security audits.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields.
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, best practice (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS 2, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security, Active Directory, encryption, and authentication protocols.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CCSP etc.) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The following will be an advantage

• Cloud Security. Experience with hardening cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Mobile Security, Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security, Forensics and Incident Handling, Security Awareness and Training, Risk Assessment, Data protection and Privacy.
