Skelia is on the hunt for a skilled Senior Oracle DBA to join our team for the client TUI UK — the subsidiary of the global tourism business giant! As a part of the team, you will be responsible for Oracle Database Services. You are going to ensure full 24*7 support to the multi-national teams, working autonomously as a part of a matrix team.

Your mission

As Senior Oracle DBA, you’ll be engaged in cross-border teams’ projects and tasks:

• You will provide the maintenance of Oracle database
• You will continuously improve the clients’ database services
• You will provide the 24*7 support to the development and project teams, initiating the upgrades and making advises in the database design and usage area
• You will be responsible for the debugging and creating autonomous database backups
• You will ensure data security, privacy, and integrity

Requirements

• Excellent experience as an Oracle database administrator
• Good knowledge of Oracle 10g-19c
• Experience in administration, configuration, and installation of:
  
  • Oracle Data Guard
  • Real Application Cluster
  • ASM
  • RMAN (backup/restore via disk and tape)
  • Clusterware/Grid infrastructure
• Experience in performance tuning
• Knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL
• Hands on experience with OS
• Skilled working with Linux, AIX
• Experience in shell programming (Korn Shell / Bash)
• Being part of our 24*7 support
• Independent, passionate about autonomous and solution-oriented work
• Good English language skills (German would be a plus)
