This role is within our trading team to expand on the suite of low latency, multi-threaded applications that execute the fund’s trading strategies on exchanges. We are one of the largest digital assets arbitrage funds and provide significant liquidity to top-tier exchanges. The successful candidate will join our trading team and work closely with the firm’s partners to develop trading applications. We will provide training in all financial aspects of our business. Although experience of working with FIX interfaces is an advantage no prior knowledge of financial markets is required.

Nickel Digital Asset Management is an investment manager that operates in the digital asset space, taking advantage of volatility, embedded structural inefficiencies and price dislocations in this emerging asset class. Nickel trades cross-venue arbitrage opportunities, utilising fully automated, systematic, low-latency trading algorithms.

Requirements:
• Proficient in English
• Strong core Java design and development skills
• Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems
• Experience with developing multi-threaded java applications
• Influx (or similar) DB
• Apache Kafka
• Automated Unit and Integration testing experience
• Maven, Git
• Experience with AWS
• Good communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or a core engineering discipline or scientific subject
• Drive, creativity and ambition to succeed in a competitive field
