Business Forecasting Analyst

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Forecasting Analyst to join the mission to make financial services accessible and improve the lives of millions of people in Africa and emerging markets.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis or a similar role, including hands-on experience in financial modelling or a fintech experience
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, strong experience in SQL
• Experience in Cohort modelling & Credit risk models is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
• Effective Communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the globe
• Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Organized and Proactive. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Credit Analysis and Financial Modelling: Analyse financial performance of credit and other financial products, and prepare performance forecasts using specialized financial models
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate monthly financial performance reports and conduct variance analysis between actual results and forecasts
• Data Collection: Gather and maintain financial data to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various departments to understand financial impacts and support strategic initiatives
• Support High-Priority Initiatives: Provide support on special projects and ad-hoc analyses as directed by senior team members, and provide further financial context to drive better decision-making
