We are looking for a Product Development Project Manager with a strong technical background who knows how to spark team engagement.

As a trusted leader, you will be driving the cross-functional work to deliver the concerned epic scope according to QDCFS objectives. It includes managing interfaces with other departments, and securing alignment across all involved agile teams and all cross-functional stakeholders, including our customer brands and business areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the epic or project through all phases, from initial scope and requirements refinement to prototyping, testing, problem resolution in mid-phases, and all the way to the start of production and handover to maintenance
• Develop and manage high-level project plans and milestones, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-coordinated and aligned with organizational goals
• Secure budget allocation, make financial decisions, and closely monitor and report on budgetary aspects related to the epic’s scope. Ensure efficient resource utilization
• Foster collaboration and alignment across all involved agile teams, departments, and stakeholders. Maintain strong communication and relationships with customer brands and business areas
• Apply a business-focused mindset to prioritize and focus on key areas that will deliver maximum customer value. Continuously assess and adapt to the evolving automotive landscape
• Ensure the complete product delivery aligns with the defined epic description and meets Volvo’s high-quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience as an Epic Owner, Project Manager, or similar role in automotive product development
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of automotive engineering processes
• SAFe certification or experience with Agile frameworks is a plus
• Exceptional leadership and team engagement skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment while maintaining focus on objectives
• Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management skills
