Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer — Ethereum / Rust

за кордоном

Project Overview

We are building high-performance infrastructure for Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchain systems, with a strong focus on real-time data processing, transaction flow, block construction, and execution.

The platform operates in a latency-sensitive, production environment where reliability, correctness, observability, and performance are critical. The systems process large volumes of blockchain and transaction data and interact with multiple external infrastructure components.

This is an engineering-heavy environment where production data is used continuously to understand system behavior, validate improvements, and guide further optimization.

About the Role

We are looking for a Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to work on the systems surrounding Ethereum block production and transaction processing.

You will work close to the core infrastructure: ingesting and processing transaction and order-flow data, managing high-throughput pipelines, improving system reliability, and building the observability and analytics needed to understand production behavior.

The role is hands-on and well suited to an engineer who enjoys working with concurrent systems, investigating performance issues, and using data to determine whether an engineering change actually improved the system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-performance backend services in Rust.
  • Build systems for processing Ethereum transactions, bundles, and other real-time blockchain data.
  • Develop integrations with blockchain nodes, transaction sources, relays, and external infrastructure.
  • Work with asynchronous and concurrent processing, back-pressure, message channels, and high-throughput data flows.
  • Improve system reliability by investigating panics, dropped messages, failures, and latency regressions.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting for production systems.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical queries to understand system performance and production behavior.
  • Investigate production data and run controlled experiments to evaluate configuration and system changes.
  • Use SQL and Python to analyze large datasets, validate hypotheses, and identify performance or reliability issues.
  • Write tests and engineering safeguards to prevent production regressions.
  • Gradually contribute to more advanced areas of blockchain infrastructure, transaction execution, and block-building optimization.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience shipping and operating production systems.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with Ethereum or EVM-compatible blockchain technologies.
  • Professional experience with Rust is strongly preferred.
  • Engineers with strong production experience in Go, C++, or Java and a strong interest in moving deeper into Rust are also welcome.
  • Good understanding of concurrent, asynchronous, and real-time systems.
  • Experience working with large or complex existing codebases.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to investigate production data independently.
  • Practical experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or engineering tooling.
  • Experience with production monitoring, logging, metrics, or analytics systems.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • A careful engineering approach: you test changes, validate assumptions, and distinguish verified results from hypotheses.
  • Curiosity and the ability to independently investigate why system behavior or production metrics changed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ethereum L1 infrastructure, PBS, MEV, or block-building systems.
  • Experience with smart contracts or EVM internals.
  • Familiarity with Ethereum clients or execution-layer technologies such as reth, geth, or revm.
  • Experience with high-throughput data processing or real-time data pipelines.
  • Experience working with time-series data or large-scale analytics.
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar observability platforms.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Background in trading systems, transaction execution, DeFi, or other latency-sensitive financial infrastructure.
  • Experience optimizing performance in high-throughput or low-latency systems.
