We are looking for a highly talented PHP Team lead for one of our projects where Newage.io acts as a technology partner.

About the project:
You will work on a product with a global significance — to let the world news sound like they were meant, not like they were forced to. The News Social Media Platform is designed to embrace web 3.0. standard, facilitate media pluralism, counter-propaganda, and encourage an increase in the number of independent journalists.


Tech stack:

Backend: PHP Symfony;
Frontend: Next.js Framework (React);
Mobile App: React-Native;
Infrastructure: Docker, AWS( ECS, Fargate, s3, ALB, ES, EC, SSM) CI/CD GitLab, CloudFlare as WAF, and CDN.

Responsibilities:

— Collaborate closely with product owners to apply your expertise and feed back into their plans;
— Foster a culture of code review, implement coding standards and promote software quality practices;
— Create an inclusive environment where team members have freedom and safety to innovate, experiment, and learn from failure;
— Provide open and effective communication channels;
— Work as part of a Scrum team along with the Project Manager, Product — Owner to design, decompose, implement, and release high end systems;
— Design and implement new features and enhance existing functionalities according to business specifications;

Requirements:

— Extensive experience in developing complex distributed applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable and can handle high volumes;
— Experience with database internals, database architecture and development (NoSQL and RDBMS);
— Experienced in Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture and Event Driven Architecture;
— Deep understanding of SOA principles and Web Services technologies (REST, GraphQL, GRPC);
— Understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Driven Development;
— Passionate about software quality and improving the design/development process;
— Agile software development experience;
— Good communication skills — ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English language;
