Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for providing research-based, responsive, high-quality consultations to the business and Training & Learning community to create engaging and effective experiences that meet employees wherever they happen to be — geographically, temporally, or intellectually. You will scout for new solutions and content and drive innovative learning methods. This role will also require you to co-ordinate with learning providers and internal stakeholders to strategically & operationally curate learning content in line with learner and business needs.

A day in the life of...

  • Work within the team of Learning Design to align curation to strategic & operational initiatives. Research and evaluate leading-edge learning concepts and techniques including prioritize having the right technology and infrastructure available for required learning solutions. Ensure the organization in general, and the L&D community specifically, is leveraging technology such as online learning platforms with a variety of interaction options to reach a wider geographic audience with less time restrictions.
  • Creatively apply extensive knowledge of adult learning theories, UX design, and business and organizational acumen to develop innovative and engaging learning experiences. Partner with internal teams and external content providers to ensure that the metadata behind the learning catalog enables curation activities in a simple and efficient manner.
  • Develop an instructional approach for different training or learning interventions based upon established learning objectives, learner needs and characteristics, and learning environment to create a highly personalized experience based on employees’ specific needs and preferences. Ensure the learning experience balances of the job learning, peer/social learning and personal learning.
  • Evaluate existing curricula for effectiveness and instructional soundness, evaluate goals and objectives, and then plan the approach for each training engagement to provide faster learning, better memory retention, and more direct job application
  • Recommend measurement and assessment for learning activities
  • Coordinate and develop relationships with institutions and industry experts to obtain external expertise, best practices, and collaboration to further expand instructional technology base
  • Build and maintain strong client relationship at all levels of the organization to achieve a trusted advisor status, service as the primary interface between the business and the development team
  • Leverage the subjects in the learning frameworks to build & continuously update a mapping of the online learning catalogs. Manage the material (online and in classrooms)
  • Manage detailed reporting and analytics on usage and adoption of learning content in partnership with external and internal providers, and analytics teams. Generate insights and recommendations to optimize the learner experience

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Educational Adult Learning Theory, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of learning technology capabilities: has worked with learning experience platforms and have a background in LMS’s, as well as gamification of learning and overall UX design
  • Must have designed complex and immersive learning experiences, managing learning programs for at least five years
  • Expertise in a broad spectrum of learning tools, and modalities including blended learning journeys, simulations, and other adult learning modalities
  • Expertise in developing memorable learning experience: demonstrated success at leveraging contemporary employee development models and technologies.
  • Deep knowledge and proven history of successfully applying adult learning theory in a fast-paced environment, producing measurable impact
  • Ability to manage priorities in an adaptable and flexible manner
  • Results focused, proactive problem solver and service oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English
