The Senior Test Engineer role is part of a larger test team, assigned to working within an agile product team

Project — is a privately held United Kingdom based holding company founded in 2000. Through its subsidiaries, it operates in the investment management, venture capital, energy, and real estate industries.

HQ — London, UK.

Requirements:

• Candidates only from outside of Ukraine
• At least 3+ years as Quality Assurance Engineer
• Experience with GIT or similar test repository tools
• Testing complex systems and business flows
• Test case design, development and execution
• Writing, executing and maintaining manual exploratory tests
• Ability to take a risk-based approach to testing and determine when to use manual and automation test approaches
• A good understanding of non-functional (performance and load) testing (practical experience a bonus)
• Estimate testing tasks and prioritise workloads for self and other testers if required
• Experience in Front end & Web services/API testing
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and willing to initiate and embrace change
• Perform peer reviews and provide constructive feedback as part of a mentoring/coaching approach
• ISTQB Foundation or Certified Agile Tester certification
• Upper-intermediate English

Good to have:

• REST APIs testing experience
• Experience working in a DevOps environment
• Good understanding of relational databases and extracting data using SQL
• A degree in the field of Computer Science or another rigorous discipline
• Financial domain knowledge
• Experience liaising with 3rd party vendors and working with Front office staff
• ISTQB Advanced Test Certification

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborating with engineering and development teams
    • Review requirements and other project artefacts, estimate test tasks, plan and execute tests on back-office applications/front office GUI applications/API’s
    • Perform manual exploratory testing, perform non-functional testing where appropriate
    • Take part in all scrum ceremonies to represent the testing function — sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives, ensure that the SDLC and Test Strategy are followed
    • Mentor other team members and deputise for the Test Manager where needed
