Senior Network Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

NCube Ltd. opens the position of a Senior Network Engineer to join the project team of our partner, a multinational consulting, software services, and operations company that is singularly focused on the telecom/DSP industry.

Our partner began its operations in 1999 and currently employs 2000+ resources across the world. It is a global leader in providing IT, product, network, and operational services for the digital service provider (DSP) vertical. The organization’s service portfolio includes a wide array of advanced technologies, telco-specific frameworks and next-gen labs to provide maximum service excellence and ROI to the clients.

Requirements:

Specialist CPE engineers with SME knowledge of DOCSIS, and In Home Connectivity protocols such as Wi-Fi, IP, DOCSIS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, TR69 etc. Highly experienced with CPE and edge Management platforms such as CMTS, Soft Switch, ACS, cable modem provisioning, DNS, CNR etc.

Deep knowledge in de-bugging, troubleshooting and analysis of complex software systems remotely (though logs and telemeter) in lab environment highly complex faults including interoperability with end-user devices

Highly analytical with good scripting and/or programming skills (bash, python, Perl or Java) and ability to apply statistical techniques to solve problems

Experience with complex technology projects and test, certification and system integration activities in the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries proven track record with Software development and related project delivery activities

Advantageous: STB and DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies across different networks

Experience with Kibana, Grafana, SQL

Intermediate level of English language

Responsibilities:

Execution of local CPE testing before deployment trials for Country Validation tests and for CM and MTA bootfile changes

Execution of the TFT activities required to ensure a smooth transition of new CPE software and hardware, as well as the activation of new products

Execution of the OFT & mass rollout activities as required to ensure a smooth transition of new CPE software and hardware, as well as the activation of new products

Assure 3rd level support for CPE issues coming from the TFT, OFT, but also normal operations. Act as a glue between the country operations and the T&I organization and further the different CPE vendors to identify the root cause of the CPE operational issues, find possible workarounds to be applied

Work with the Testing and Connectivity departments to improve the early detection of similar issues and prevent them to re-occur
