• Master’s degree in Computer Systems/Science or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of experience in Unified Communications/Telephony Service and managing a telephony infrastructure comprised of Nortel and Avaya technologies;
• Detailed knowledge of telephone/voice engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theory for voice networks and call routing schemes, Telecommunications site build-out (including installation of PBXs, IP-PBXs, voice mail systems, station cabling, QoS, POE, etc.)
• Experience with Nortel CS1000;
• Experience with Avaya Aura;
• Knowledge of IP PBX Asterisk;
• In depth understanding troubleshooting methodology;
• Be able to own and be accountable for network project designs and configurations;
• Ability to develop action plans with work estimates as part of IT projects;
• Experience in troubleshooting telephony equipment/environment;
• Have worked with a high-availability systems environment;
• Ability to solve critical production issues when required;
• Base knowledge of networking systems (OSI model);
• Strong, hands-on technical knowledge with UC technologies;
• Knowledge of communications protocols and integration of new systems with existing systems;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player;
• Ability to manage own workload;
• Ability to learn fast and adapt to changes;
• Ability to self-education;
• Strong communication skills;
• Upper-Intermediate English is preferable;
• Certificates in any Unified Communications (or Network System) areas are preferable.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly form.
• Prior management or team lead experience preferred;

• Provides supervision and management, technical and design leadership for the Telephony department staff with primary responsibility for consistent and stable voice (telephony) service operation, documentation, and development of the new UC services;
• Acts as a Head of the Telephony department;
• Responsible to define, architect, implement and integrate existing UC solutions;
• Participation in projects for the development of design, install, and maintain unified communications in modern network infrastructure;
• Participation in the maintenance and configuration of existing telephony equipment (Nortel, Avaya Aura);
• Harmonization and optimization of Telephony team workforce;
• Investigates and provides root cause analysis for all network interruptions and outages and provides mitigation plans to prevent interruptions in the future;
• Working with documents.
