Senior Scala Engineer (#1233) (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for a strong, highly motivated Scala Developer, who will fulfil our cross-functional team as a backend developer on the development of various products.

You’ll have responsibility for all aspects of the application development lifecycle, from design through to build, test and deploy, plus anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts.

You’ll be working in a squad alongside another Scala Engineer and other Node.Js engineers supporting the squad across several functional areas. You’ll be collaborating daily with product managers and developers to design and develop features, to deliver outstanding value to our customers using agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Scala-based applications, services, and systems
• Collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications
• Designing and implementing efficient and reusable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Collaborating with the DevOps engineers to ensure seamless deployment and continuous integration processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Scala development experience using the Typelevel stack: cats, cats-effect, http4s, doobie
• Rich experience creating REST-based web-services
• Experience of working with PostgresDB( or similar relational db) and BigQuery
• Experience with microservices deployment onto Google Cloud Platform (or other cloud platforms), configured using terraform and helm
• Event driven architecture using Kafka
• Test Driven Development practices including continuous integration
• Strong knowledge of design patterns
• Experience working in an Agile development process
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
