The team will work under the direction of the VP of Product Development & Principal Architect to deliver a world-class search engine that will have a direct positive impact on millions of customers and will provide the foundation for future innovation in shopping experiences.

Project Information:

We are looking for people to directly contribute to the Saks customer experience by building the new generation, high-performance search engine. Together with our international team of top-notch engineers, you will be doing research, build a state-of-the-art persistence layer for the search engine and building streaming data pipelines to populate the database.

You will be contributing to building an innovative search engine to replace the previous solution (SF Commerce Cloud) with a fast, efficient, scalable & highly customizable solution.

Daily responsibilities will include research & POC, development of new features, code review, testing, creating documentation & exchanging knowledge with a world-class international engineering team.

You will be a match if you have:

• 5+ years of industry experience and passion for programming
• Extensive hands-on experience with Scala (2.13) or RoR
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Elastic search
• Experience with AWS, ECS
• Upper intermediate level of English.
