N-iX is looking for a talented Middle NodeJS Engineer who can become a part of our team and contribute new ideas to product development.

The client started with an accessory only brand with limited products on the site. Since then the company has expanded and now operates internationally, including the US, Irish, Australian, Middle East, French and Canadian markets. The company sells Womenswear, footwear, accessories and beauty products. Celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Michelle Keegan, Rita Ora, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj were seen wearing their products. In September 2015, it launched its mobile application in the UK market.



Responsibilities:

• Use follows established design patterns and techniques.
• Write clean idiomatic code adhering to industry coding standards.
• Add appropriate logging and monitoring needed to help with debugging.
• Write tests with adequate coverage, independently.
• Own the implementation of the solution to their assigned task.
• Code in an easy to understand, change, and maintainable manner.
• Proactively improve components, modules, services, systems, and codebases encountered.
• Add domain specific metrics to help understand application performance.
• Consider and test edge-cases.
• Spot opportunities to improve testing.
• Choose the right data structure for what you are trying to solve.
• Accept feedback gracefully.
• Proactively provide feedback to those you work with.
• Proactively raise issues you spot in retrospectives.
• Deliver assigned tasks that meet expected criteria.
• Work well within a team — focused on tasks that contribute to team goals.

• NodeJS / TypeScript experience at least 3+ years;
• Unit Testing
• Understanding Microservices concepts
• Nice to have experience PHP (Laravel)
• AWS — or other cloud environment (beneficial)
• Spoken and Written English (Upper Intermediate level).
