Project Description:
The project is in an early stage and will involve a large discovery phase. The goal is to build an e-commerce payment solution for the Kazakh market, functionally similar to ShopPay, including deep integration with an e-commerce platform. The BA will play a key role in shaping the product from scratch.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the discovery phase for a new product under NDA
- Conduct market and competitor analysis (Kazakh e-commerce and payments market)
- Define product vision, scope, and high-level requirements
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Support the development of unit economics and business cases
- Act as a key domain expert throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Middle or Senior-level Business Analyst
- Experience with ShopPay integration
- The majority of professional experience in FinTech projects
- Strong experience in discovery phase activities
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation and documentation
- Strong experience in stakeholder communication
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, tech, design)
- Experience working with payment systems, checkout flows, or financial products
Nice to have:
- Experience with Shopify projects
- Experience launching products from scratch, including ownership of the discovery phase, competitor and market analysis, product vision creation, and unit economics calculation and financial modeling.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment ecosystems
- Experience working with international or emerging markets
