Data Scientist (opportunity to grow into AI Tech Lead) (вакансія неактивна)

We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced Data Scientist with the opportunity to grow into an AI Tech Lead role. You will contribute to defining and driving the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of intelligent, data-driven solutions for a large-scale cloud-based Wi-Fi management platform. The platform serves both individual users and internet service providers.

The goal is to make Wi-Fi smart, adaptive, and secure — automatically optimizing network performance, enhancing user experience, and detecting threats without human intervention.

What you will do

• Work as part of a skilled AI Engineering team (around 5 people)
• Build and evaluate machine learning models for anomaly detection, fraud identification, forecasting, and optimization
• Explore and prototype solutions using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and SQL
• Oversee the full lifecycle of models, from research and prototyping to production and monitoring
• Ensure reliability, explainability, and performance of models

Main Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science / Machine Learning
• Experience leading technical initiatives or projects
• English: Upper-Intermediate+, both written and spoken
• Experience with classical machine learning algorithms and a solid understanding of their strengths and limitations
• Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and modern deep learning approaches
• Proven ability to handle messy, large-scale, and multi-source data
• Good command of SQL for data querying and preparation

Nice to Have

• Experience in a Mentor, Tech Lead, or Team Lead role
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and security
• Proven ability to establish or improve engineering processes and best practices
• Strong product mindset: understanding product value, impact, and business goals
