Mirantis delivers a variety of services such as datacenter automation delivering data-center-as-a-service or developing a solution for a hybrid cloud platform to top enterprises using Mirantis Flow, which is a family of products based on open source technologies including both Mirantis and Docker enterprise (part of Mirantis since Nov 2019) solutions conducted into Cloud Native Platform components such as Mirantis Container Cloud, Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes, Mirantis Container Runtime, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, Miranits Secured Registry, Lens and K0s. Company products are based on industry-leading open-source projects including OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker engine, Prometheus, and many others, and follows a build-operate-transfer model. These solutions empower enterprise customers to take advantage of open source innovation with no vendor lock-in.

We are inviting smart and enthusiastic interns willing to learn cloud computing based on open source projects and grow to Junior DevOps engineer and further.

Requirements:

— Basic skills with programming, knowledge of algorithms and data structures

— Good knowledge of Linux distributions: architecture, tools, packaging system

— Understanding of computer networking, knowledge of network protocols
— Basic understanding of virtualization and containers
— Strong analytical and problem solving skills

— Proactive attitude

— Fast learning abilities

— Good written and spoken English (Intermediate)

Will be a plus:

— Proven track record of success: excellent academic record, publications, contests, own projects, online courses, freelance activities etc

— Experience with public cloud providers: OpenStack based, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure

— Understanding of HA principles and implementation on different levels: API, DB, Network, Storage

— Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Zabbix and etc)
