We are developing an application to collect statistics, analyze and manage the distribution of electricity in houses with solar panel systems. This is an office or remote full-time position, and our client is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of appliances and electronics.

Since June, MVP development has been running, and an alpha version has recently been released. A beta-version is planned for January.

Stack: Go, Node.js, React Native, Amazon Document DB (kinda MongoDB), AWS (SNS, SQS, API Gateway), serverless architecture.

Project goals:

• Manage home energy by providing device-level energy consumption and total home energy visualization;
• Contribute to green efforts by participation in energy reduction and grid stabilization efforts;
• Reduce energy expenditure through its optimization;
• Provide Energy Resiliency and independence despite the power outage.

Responsibilities:

• Development of the new features related to the process of collecting and processing information;
• API development for the mobile application;
• Improvement of the data aggregation process;
• Handling high-level business needs.

Required skills:

• 2+ years of software development experience;
• Experience with Go;
• Ability to work with business requirements and converting them into tech tasks;
• Experience with MongoDB;
• Experience with AWS services;
• Familiarity with JS stack will be a plus;
• Experience in optimizing database structure and queries to handle large amounts of data will be a plus;
• Intermediate or above English level.
