We seek a dynamic and experienced Head of Communications to join our team and spearhead our Corporate PR and Investor relations efforts.
As MD Finance’s Head of Communication, you will be the driving force behind the company’s voice, narrative, and brand awareness. Your main goal will be to form an interest in our company among potential investors and A-list talents we want to recruit (we grow fast and expand worldwide!).
Your team is responsible for our corporate communications strategy, including media relations, investor relations (in collaboration with the CEO), social media strategy and execution, and executive thought leadership (articles and events).
Main Responsibilities:
- Build the Communication team from scratch.
- Develop and align corporate communications strategy to overall business goals. Define and execute the corporate narrative, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning.
- Maintain consistency of external communications across press, corporate website, and social media using the help of internal experts.
- Elevate the voice of the company leaders through media interviews, speaking opportunities, and social media engagement.
- Help the CEO build and develop strong relationships within the EU and US investor communities through investor outreach, event participation, meeting organization, etc.
- Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, HR, and other top managers on developing pitch decks, corporate presentations, and other corporate information.
- Track and provide insights to the executive team on the progress and results of communication efforts.
Expected Results:
Short-term (up to 6 months):
- Develop brand positioning
- Create all necessary corporate materials
Medium-term (up to 1 year):
- Increase MDFinance’s capitalization by implementing positioning strategies
- Regular presence at public events
- Publish in industry-specific publications at least once per quarter
Ongoing tasks:
- Maintain and regularly update the company’s public resources
- Collect and maintain a network of contacts among potential investors (+2-3 per month minimum)
Professional Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior role
- Ability to work with your own budget for PR and IR activities and manage contractors, including financial analysts and lawyers.
- Fluent in English and Ukrainian (for local teammates).
- Experience with the EU and the US markets.
- Experience and skills in communications with investors (IR) before, during, and after funding rounds or M&A.
- You should be proactive, self-organized, and always stick to agreements you made with your teammates.
Additional:
- Experience working with financial market regulators will be an advantage
- Having your own contact base of investors and analysts in the fintech sector
