About the customer
Our customer is a US based product start-up dedicated to creating platforms that encourage social communication independence for people with verbal disabilities.
About the product
Product is a picture-based AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app built for people who are non-verbal or with learning disorders such as Autism, Down syndrome, Aphasia etc. It is an app-to-app messaging platform similar to Whatsapp, Instagram, or Facebook messenger.
The non-verbal user chooses a recipient by selecting a large picture, then taps pictures (from pairs of picture cards) to form simple sentences that get translated into text to be sent to the recipient. The recipient can send back a voice recorded response or type a response that will be read to the non-verbal person.
