For our office in Kiev we are looking for Azure Synapse/ Power BI Engineer (Controlling department) so the successful candidate will need to work effectively as part of a team.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Identification and analysis of business processes
• Development and maintenance of the existing analytics architecture
• Monitoring, analysis, and expansion of existing ETL/ELT processes
• Connection of various source data (e.g., ERP, CRM, support tickets system, partner managements system)
• Active participation in the planning and implementation of data modeling and data management processes with Azure Data Factory/Azure Synapse

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordination with stakeholders
• Support of the specialist departments in connecting BI tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ...) and implementation of reports

Must have:

• Knowledge and experience in dealing with Microsoft Azure components:

1. SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance
2. Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2
3. Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse
4. Logic Apps
5. Log Analytics
6. Databricks

• Efficient orchestration of pipelines
• Working with/in Azure DevOps/Git Hub

Sound knowledge:

1. in the field of databases, data warehousing, data lakehouse o in the field of (T-)SQL (syntax, structures, stored procedures, ...)
2. in Power Query/M
3. in the area of visualization and modeling of data in Power BI, as well as advanced calculations with the help of DAX (Data Analysis Expression)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Spark
• Knowledge in JSON
