We are looking for a Product Designer to join Matic’s team.

As a Product Designer at Matic, you will work collaboratively to build and improve products, from early planning stages to UX, UI, and development, that help homeowners through the process of buying and maintaining their insurance.

We are a small startup, so you will work on significant projects for the company and have opportunities to take initiative. We believe that empowering designers to really own their projects creates the most seamless experiences.

You’ll also work on a diverse range of projects directly with colleagues from across the company, including in product, engineering, marketing, training, customer care, and much more.

Day to day duties:

— Design conceptual diagrams and wireframes with pen/paper, visual UI mockups, prototypes, and marketing collateral with digital tools.
— Present design work to the design team and other departments for review and feedback.
— Partner with product managers to identify user needs, define product strategy, and execute on roadmaps.
— Work closely with engineering and QA to ensure that the deployed design ships and is the right level of polish and quality for its purpose.
— Lead a collaborative design process from conception to launch, involving engineers, product managers, and user advocates.
— Help evolve our design system and design workflows.

Must have skills:

— 3+ years experience with end-to-end product design.
— You have a portfolio URL. An online portfolio with case studies demonstrating your process in creating user-centered design solutions for products that shipped.
— Experience with designing complex product features so that they are easy to understand for both potential and current users.
— You have a diverse design skill set that includes user research, UX exploration, UI design, prototyping, and even visual marketing design.
— You have familiarity with design systems.
— You are detail-oriented in everything from pixel perfect design to the way you organize art-boards, layers, documents, and tasks.
— You are comfortable juggling multiple projects at a time.
— You love to work collaboratively with other designers and cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and marketing.
— You are eager to learn and evolve as a designer and you always have an up-to-date familiarity with current visual and interactive design trends.
— English: upper intermediate.

What I’m going to do when I join Matic?
We are developing several endpoints for customers to get insurance, integration with our partners and a back portal for our insurance agency. We have core products in several smaller services that solve single business goal. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to ship new, impactful features or new products to the market
