DevOps Engineer


Importance of the role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Matic.
Our company has multiple rapidly developing products tightly integrated with complex business logic for Homeowners Insurance.

Here at Matic, DevOps is considered more as a culture rather than tools and it’s about breaking the walls between Dev, Ops, QA. We do all this together and you’ll be part of such an amazing transformation.

Among the technological stack, we are using the latest technologies and frameworks, deployed on AWS, using Terraform and Kubernetes, and many more tools. We promote continuous learning and are open to learning and implement new things most of the time.

We’re ready to hire a person who has a background in System Administration or Engineering and wants to switch to a DevOps role.

Tools we use:

  • Infrastructure Management: AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Configuration and Deployment Management: Helm, Ansible
  • CI/CD: CircleCI, GitHub Actions
  • DB Engine: PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch

Day to day duties:

  • Support, update and improve current engineering processes and tools
  • Provide support of engineering team during entire SDLC
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of all infrastructure components
  • Help company adopt better processes and toolchains to fuel the scale

Must have skills:

  • 1+ years of experience with Linux and Networking
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps principles
  • Understanding of common web application architectures
  • At least Pre-intermediate English level

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with any of the listed technologies: AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm
