QA Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join Matic. We are looking for a person who is passionate about quality. You will be working on the project that is a “heart” of our system. Here you will be working with lots of integrations (internal, external). Also, you will be working with Continuous deployment, so we are looking for a QA hunter, who will not permit bugs to go into production. If you are a true detective, like to test integrations, don’t afraid of responsibilities and want to learn automation — just knock here.

Day to day duties:

— Testing integration with 3rd party services and system integration between products
— Manual testing of sprint tasks
— Writing automation tests (API or UI E2E) and automation SIT where it is needed using Ruby
— Updating and executing existing automation tests
— Proposing and implementing improvements to existing test and development processes
— Improve our integrations with 3rd parties: analyze requests, investigate failures, propose solutions
— Prevent issues on production, analyze possible risks
— Perform root cause analysis of the defects where it is possible
— Escalate risks and potential issues to QA Lead

Must have skills:

— Experience in REST API and Web UI testing
— Passionate about quality
— Attention to details
— English Intermediate +
— Good understanding of SDLC and Scrum methodology

Nice to have:

— Performance testing experience
— SQL knowledge
— 1 programming language knowledge (Ruby is preferable, but we’re ready to hire the person who is ready to learn Ruby with us)
— Contribution to an existing automation framework
— Experience in pull requests reviewing

What am I going to do when I join Matic?
We are developing several endpoints for customers to get insurance, integration with our partners and a back portal for our insurance agency. We have core products in several smaller services that solve a single business goal. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to ship new, impactful features or new products to the market.

Why are we different?
Working in small teams with a lot of influence and, therefore responsibility, we are changing the insurance market in the USA. So we prefer to work with generalists that could deliver high-quality work and be flexible.
