Front-end Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for Frontend Engineer to join Matic’s team. Our company is growing rapidly with a lot of new web products made from scratch to make Homeowners Insurance easier. We pay great attention to every detail to achieve a high level of quality, whether it’s email template or application user interface.

Day to day duties:

— Be a part of a full product development cycle to produce features that really solve the problem
— Be responsible for your decisions and verify results of your work before passing it to QA
— Develop a modern application from scratch and be responsible for user interface
— Collaboration with Product managers, UX/UI designers, Back-end developers
— Perform code reviews, share knowledge with team members
— Constantly improve code quality and search for better technical approaches

Must have skills:

— Expert in ES6
— Strong knowledge in React.js
— Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
— Expert in responsive design for different screens/browsers
— Experience with testing frameworks (Jest + Enzyme)
— Good sense of humor
— Intermediate level of English

Nice to have:

— Experience with Bootstrap/Reactstrap
— Experience with Typescript
— Experience with A/B testing
— Experience in the development and maintenance of a few small scale products at the same time

Tools we use:

— Framework: React.js + Redux
— Module bundler: Webpack, Rollup
— Package manager: yarn
— Testing framework: Jest, Enzyme
— Linting tools: ESLint, TSLint, SASS-lint
— CSS preprocessors: SCSS
— Also our stack contains Storybook, Bootstrap/Reactstrap, Vue.js/Vuex, Karma/Mocha.

What I’m going to do when I join Matic?
We are developing several endpoints for customers to get insurance, integration with our partners and a back portal for our insurance agency. We have core products in several smaller services that solve a single business goal. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to ship new, impactful features or new products to the market.

Why we are different?
Working in small teams with a lot of influence and, therefore responsibility, we are changing the insurance market in the USA. So we prefer to work with generalists that could deliver high-quality work and be flexible.
