Education:
Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields. Graduate students in quantitative fields are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
At least 4 years of practice in professional commercial design and user experience using modern web technologies and interfaces, across a wide variety of browsers and platforms.
Skills and Qualifications:
Modern web skills including Art Design and scaling, HTML 5, CSS (SCSS), and Javascript are required. Experience with fonts, glyphs, charting, animation, real time updates (using websockets) and even adding web assembly code would be nice to have.
Comfort in working on the back end in the latest versions of Ruby on Rails against a Postgres database is a must. The ability to code directly in Javascript instead of relying on third-party
packages is also strongly preferred.
Ingrained use of standardized programming paradigms, professional coding standards and processes and the ability to deliver readable, maintainable, supportable designs and code.
Comfortable developing in a Linux, Windows or Mac environment.
Excellent project management skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
