We take data protection legislation seriously, so we’re excited to announce that we’re looking for a proficient Data Protection Officer to join our team. We’re looking for someone up for a challenge, as this role requires staying up to date with the constantly changing regulatory landscape.

This critical role will help us enhance our management of potentially sensitive information and ensure we’re meeting global privacy standards like GDPR, CCPA, and others.

In this role, you will:
— Identify and evaluate data protection risks, offer compliance advice, and conduct monitoring activities
— Guide data protection impact assessments and risk evaluations
— Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s data protection governance framework, including policies and standards
— Participate in reporting activities concerning data protection risks and governance framework
— Raise awareness about data protection and provide training across the company
— Ensure software products, services, and third-party tools comply with data protection laws in the US and EU/UK
— Collaborate closely with legal, security, and product development teams

Skills you’ll need to bring:
— Degree/practical experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
— Experience in data protection, privacy law, and cybersecurity, preferably within IT services or software development
— In-depth understanding of privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA
— Proficiency in technical and software development processes
— Excellent communication and project management skills

Hybrid work model
It’s entirely up to you whether to work remotely or at the hub. If you decide to mix it, our Kyiv headquarters (HQ), which works as a coworking space, is open around the clock. The HQ is supplied with UPS and Starlink for an uninterrupted work process.
We also reimburse the costs of renting a coworking space in any other city.
If you decide to work at home, we cover the costs spent on your workspace organization: portable power stations, power banks, etc.

We cover 100% of your medical insurance costs and 50% for your dependents. We also offer a 50% refund for psychotherapy.

You can choose a schedule that is comfortable for you. No one here tracks your clock in/clock out because MacPaw is built on trust and cooperation.
