PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Our customer is a renewable energy advocate which creates innovative technologies for changing the way energy is being distributed and consumed. Their main aim is to create and manage the biggest digitally-connected energy storage as well as to assist in reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. Our client has been successfully working with hundreds of companies, including those which are included in the Fortune 500 list.
You will be working in a team which is responsible for developing and delivery of predictive and optimization algorithms. You will be involved in ‘wrapping’ these algorithms into micro-services.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
— Lead the team according to established processes while tightly collaborating with the stakeholders
— Enable our customer artificial intelligence and machine learning platform
— Create virtual power plants supporting the electricity grid with distributed energy storage
— Scale the business 10x from thousands to tens of thousands of industrial IoT device
— Activate a powerful partner network in a rapidly changing marketplace
— Build an industry leading real-time technology stack
— Advanced proficiency in Python
— Managerial experience
— Knowledge of designing and writing APIs or RESTful endpoints
— At least Upper-Intermediate level of English
— Strong communication & team working skills
WOULD BE A PLUS:
— Knowledge the concepts of designing, developing and deploying micro-services
— Experience of SQL and NoSQL datastore (e.g. DynamoDB, Hive, Mysql, Presto, Postgress, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
— Knowledge of message streams and brokers RabbitMQ, Kinesis, Kafka, etc.
— If you have worked with IoT frameworks and familiar with MQTT you have our interest!
— You have hands-on experience with Linux and Docker-based environments
