UI/UX Competence Manager

• Four-years of proven experience working as a UI/UX Designer (at least)
• Two-years of proven experience working as a Lead UI/UX Designer (at least)
• Knowledge of digital trends and modern UI design approaches
• Knowledge of UI/UX guidelines for different platforms (Web, iOS, Android apps)
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as InVision, Adobe xD, Zeplin, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Balsamiq
• Deep knowledge of human interaction design and UX principles
• Experience in working in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Awareness of popular Web and Mobile apps
• Deep understanding of core design fundamentals (color theory, grid systems, typography, composition, motion and interactivity)
• Proactivity, flexibility and ability to think outside the box
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Personal portfolio illustrating design samples and capabilities
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s) in Design or Technology related field
• Level of English: Intermediate strong (at least)

• Define and implement a strategic vision for the appropriate direction
• Ensure that the Competency matrix is up to date and relevant to the needs of the particular direction. Initiate updates in the Competency matrix if needed
• Initiate improvements to Training & Development, Mentorship, Performance Appraisal, Recruitment and other processes to the HR Department to ensure processes are efficient
• Participate in Research & Development projects by request of CTO/Delivery manager
• Build a collaborative community of highly skilled professionals
• Design internal projects to build a competence portfolio
• Identify and analyse needs of UX/ UI direction. Choose the most appropriate form of up-skilling activity for each need
• Design, plan and conduct training programs, workshops and other forms of up-skilling activities for staff
• Conduct internal knowledge evaluation sessions for UX/ UI specialists
• Participate in the Performance Appraisal process, in creating Professional Development Plans, setting goals, career consulting etc
• Participate in recruitment process (conducting interviews, test tasks review and creation, organizing group of experts capable to interview candidates etc.)
• Consult potential customers, estimate requests and participate in other pre-sales activities by request of the Sales Department and PM
• Perform as a Senior UX/ UI Designer or Lead UX/ UI Designer on the project. (Short-term assignments (half-time or full time)
