Data Warehouse Architect (Contract)

We’re searching for a Data Warehouse Architect to join a project and lead the way in building robust, scalable data analytic solutions.

Project description:

The project involves designing and implementing a robust, scalable, and efficient data analytics system tailored to meet the organization’s growing data processing and reporting needs. The system will empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions by integrating data from multiple sources, transforming it into a centralized data warehouse, and enabling advanced analytics and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and high-performance data warehouse solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop data models, schemas, and ETL/ELT processes to support analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance in all systems.
• Explore and propose alternative data storage solutions for performance enhancement.
• Monitor and resolve database tasks proactively to maintain seamless operations.
• Ability to follow best coding standards practices.

Requirements:

Experience:

• 3+ years in developing 2-3 data warehouse architectures from scratch.
• Strong experience in relational and non-relational databases.
• Expertise in database management systems (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and data integration tools.
• Expertise in building OLAP cubes.
• Experience in implementing analytical systems in a product company.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ELT/ETL processes, and data warehouse design principles.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, or C#.
• Familiarity with Unix shell scripting and job automation.

Nice-to-Have:

• English at an upper-intermediate (B1+) level.
• Experience with advanced technologies like Azure DevOps, and real-time data processing.
