— 5+ years of production R&D experience with complex software projects;
— Experience in support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of critical production systems;
— Strong strategic thinking, planning and delivery, people management and communication skills;
— English at a level where you can comfortably communicate with a native speaker;
— Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Liquibase;
— Experience consuming/publishing RESTful APIs;
— Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements;
— Competence in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability, and performance;
— Cognizant of modern database/storage technologies;
— Knowledge of authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token;
— BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.

— Experience working as a Team Lead;
— Knowledge of AWS;
— Experience in setting up CI pipelines and containerization;
— Hands-on performance analysis and scaling;
— Understanding the fundamentals of Web Application Security.

— Lead a team of 3-6 developers;
— Our US based team is in PST timezone (San Francisco). Our work hours are flexible. However, we ask Team Leads to be able to work late hours (~19:00-22:00 by Ukraine) on as needed basis in order to communicate with management;
— Assume main responsibility for timely software delivery and support for all projects that your team takes on.
— Share your time between being an individual contributor on software projects (i.e. coding), and people management and leadership activities.
— Guide the technical vision and execution of a software project, initiative or technology.
— Influence technical direction, implementation choices, coding styles, quality, monitoring, the establishment of best practices, and technical standards.
— Mentor less experienced team members in best practices and agile development processes, identifying areas for growth, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
