Front-End Web Developer

We are looking for some help with the front-end of our app. This will be a short-term project to start, but looking ot hire a permanent position based on performance.

About kontaq

kontaq is a hospitality technology platform helping hotels and resorts increase revenue and improve guest service through QR-based guest engagement, real-time communication, and operational workflow tools. Our platform includes mobile applications and a web dashboard used by hospitality operators.

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Web Developer to help maintain and improve our web dashboard, admin interfaces, and guest-facing web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and internal dashboards
• Build front-end interfaces for admin dashboards and product features
• Integrate with RESTful APIs used by mobile and web applications
• Work with Strapi CMS-backed content and APIs
• Support real-time communication features using OpenTok and Centrifuge
• Implement and maintain multilingual support using i18n
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Write and maintain tests using Jest
• Improve front-end performance, reliability, and usability
• Collaborate with mobile engineers, backend engineers, and the product team
• Participate in code reviews
• Help improve front-end architecture, standards, and development workflows
• Track work and communicate progress through Jira and Confluence

Requirements

• 3+ years of front-end web development experience
• Strong experience with Angular, ideally Angular 15
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience working with Strapi CMS or Strapi-powered APIs
• Experience with OpenTok client, currently version 2.29
• Experience with Centrifuge, currently version 2.8.5
• Experience with i18n / multilingual applications
• Experience writing tests with Jest
• Experience with Git and GitLab workflows
• Experience with GitLab auto-deployment or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with authentication systems such as JWT or OAuth
• Comfortable using Jira and Confluence
• Strong written and spoken English
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
