As a social media manager, you’ll manage an organization’s online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analyzing usage data, facilitating customer service and managing projects and campaigns.
Responsibilities
As a social media manager, you’ll need to:
- develop creative and engaging social media strategies
- manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
- oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as SharpSpring, Creator Studio
- create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms
- create and manage FB, IG and LinkedIn Ads
- develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote organizational and brand
- monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
- research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
- analyze competitor activity
- recommend improvements to increase performance
Working hours
You’ll usually work normal office hours, 12 pm to 8 pm, Monday to Friday. However, you may work longer hours, including evening and weekend work, if working to a campaign deadline.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of social media management experience
- a solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers
- Understanding Google Analytics tools
- Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as HubSpot, Creator Studio, SharpSpring
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
- Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
- Ability to manage and supervise a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
