Required skills

— 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
— 2-3+ years of experience with Scala or Python
— Solid experience with cloud services (AWS preferably)
— Devops-related skills (CI/CD, terraform etc)
— Experience with NoSQL storages and RDBMS
— Experience with Confluence and Jira
— Constant desire to learn new tools and technologies as tech stack changes from project to project (one project was about adopting Vespa, the other Verta into the existing eco-system)
— Level of English: Advanced

As a plus

— Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka etc..)
— Experience with machine learning tools (Verta, Vespa etc)
— Experience with Airflow
— Experience with Databricks
— Watched “The Midnight Gospel” series

Responsibilities

— Collecting and analysis of customer requirements where customer is another team, e.g. Machine learning engineers
— Creating design documents
— Research/Development of brand new features such as adopting new technologies/tools into existing eco-system
